I am a contemporary Irish artist and I live in Belfast, Ireland. I lived in Toronto for ten years and upon returning from Canada I taught myself to paint.

Using the concept of liminality I explore the realm between earth and the supernal using low tones to capture the essence of transition, a state that can only be perceived fleetingly.

I examine this phenomenon generally in my seascapes and castle paintings; however, I take the process further with my blue portraits of the Irish Masters, James Joyce and George Bernard Shaw and largely with my interpretations of scenes from Lebor Gabála Érenn  "The Book of the Taking of Ireland".
